Shabbat
Each week, Shabbat at Congregation Rodfei Sholom is a meaningful and inspiring experience.
Rodfei Sholom provides authentic orthodox Shabbat experience for individuals and families of all ages. Children are invited to join our Shabbat groups, which are broken down by age and include both learning and recreational activities including access to two playgrounds and the expansive Rodfei Sholom great lawn.
Each week, older children participate in their own Junior Congregation service lead by the education director.
The Shabbat meal is a joyous part of Rodfei’s Sholom ‘s Shabbat traditions. Most weeks, a full catered, sit down lunch is offered to congregants, and is usually sponsored by a member supporter in honor of a simcha, yartzeit or special family milestone. Meals are open to the community and include spirited comradery and zmirot.
Rodfei Sholom also offers a variety of Shabbat afternoon classes taught by our own Rabbi’s or any number or visiting Scholars-in-Residence. Most weeks Shalosh Suedah is served at synagogue and is also available for sponsorship. Havdalah is held every week at the shul.
